I am currently in the third year of my PhD in Anthropology at Maynooth. My research is on the use and implication of metaphor in the French political cartoon. I completed an MSc in Social Anthropology at the University of Edinburgh. My thesis was a semiotic analysis of the various ideological identities of publications. I have previously worked as a journalist, as well as in administration for a cultural publication. I have also worked as Production Assistant for an animation company. I completed a course in Visual Merchandising at the Dublin Institute of Design. My project concerned the affective response of viewers to a display, and aesthetic harmony.
